Neighborhood Billboards Going Up in North St. Louis in June

Vitae became so strong in the Show Me State that it was said, “It can’t just be an island in Missouri, it must go national,” the Archbishop stated. Campaigns now have been conducted in the largest cities in America, with over 5,000 babies being saved in New York City with the help of Vitae’s subway ads over the last five years.
We are proud to say St. Louis was one of the first markets for Vitae. “In fact, Vitae has spent over $1 million dollars on media in the St. Louis Market just since 2004. This corresponds to a lot of lives saved,” according to Rene Maxey, Vitae’s Director of Development, St. Louis Region. Market research found the best type of media to use here is neighborhood billboards, by putting the billboards where the most abortion-minded women live.
“I am excited to tell you that billboards in St. Louis will begin going up in June. The media campaign will begin in North City. This is where we feel the gravest need is at this time. The young women in these areas need to know they have options, and there are people out there who can help,” Maxey noted.
The crowd was treated to listening to the current radio spot Vitae has playing on the Cardinals Radio Network—all 116 affiliate stations and on KMOX radio in St. Louis. Perhaps the Archbishop has listened to the ad on his St. Louis Cardinal Phone app. After all, you can take the Cardinal fan out of St. Louis, but they never leave Cardinal Nation!
Archbishop Naumann said that Missouri should be very proud of the Vitae Foundation because it all started here. “You are giving to a good cause where you can actually save a life – reach minds, save hearts and lives.”
