Vitae Campaign Kicks Off in Seattle
(Jefferson City, Mo.) Vitae (Vee-tay) Foundation, a national non-profit organization which uses advertising and other mass media campaigns to reach women facing unplanned pregnancies, will kick off two, four-week campaigns in Seattle on February 28.
“It’s great to be advertising in Seattle again,” according to Carl Landwehr, Vitae’s President. “We are bringing two Vitae firsts to Seattle, a market where women need to know they have several positive options when experiencing an unplanned pregnancy.”
The first part of the campaign includes a first for Vitae—a wallscape. It will be placed at the corner of Howell Street and Boren Avenue. This campaign will advertise Vitae’s YourOptions.com website, which provides valuable information on dealing with an unplanned pregnancy to women and their family and friends. Women can also find local Pregnancy Centers through the website. The YourOptions.com site will also be advertised on billboards and light rail systems. This will mark the first time Vitae has advertised YourOptions.com outside of the Internet.
The second part of the four-week Seattle campaign will advertise Next Step Pregnancy Center with interior cards on buses and an ad on the back exterior of the bus, known as the “bus tail.” The ads will contain the Center’s direct phone line. Dialing a local number rather than a toll-free number provides added reassurance that assistance is available right in the caller’s area.
“In this environment that is so hostile to Pregnancy Help Centers, we realize the important role they play in communicating with women who aren’t sure about continuing with a pregnancy,” Carl Landwehr, Vitae’s President, stated. “We’re thrilled we can play a role in letting women know that Pregnancy Centers are credible, safe environments where they can get the information they need.”
These campaigns include Link Rail interior car cards, Link Rail posters, bus tail ads, bus interior car cards and Light Rail interior car cards.
In addition to Seattle, Vitae is sweeping the country with ads in February and March in Los Angeles, Dallas, Greater Kansas City area, mid-Missouri, New York City and Boston.
“We know women need to make an informed decision and a great place they can do that is at the Pregnancy Help Centers. They have no financial interest in whether a baby lives or dies. Their interest comes from the heart,” Landwehr added.
